General Magazine Ideas

My Magazine ideas:

My magazine's genre will be pop/rock and my audience's age range will be 18-25 year old females. This will then influence the styles and colouring of my magazine. I want my magazine's style to be bold and have the colours black, white and red. I've chosen the colours as black and white can be incorporated into backgrounds easily and the colour red as it can be connected to the provocativeness of women and as my target audience will be women it links well. I will use 2 or 3 different fonts, and these will vary depending on the information. The fonts will mainly be capitals and bold with the exception of band or artist names, or key information. For example; one font will be used for the headings at the top of the page, another for cover lines and another for key words such as celebrity names or key information on the cover or article. My image on my front cover will be of a female artist, the camera angle will be looking up at her and she will have a dominating stance, this will make the artist look powerful and link to the genre and audience as women can aspire or relate to the power and the music they produce is then portrayed as more powerful which links to pop and rock. Within the contents page, I will produce more images of artists and bands to match the cover stories.
